The Hopkinton Town Board on Nov. 18 accepted a $3,500 bid to upgrade the ceiling at the Town Museum after a 4–1 vote. Supervisor Wood offered the received quote and Mr. Eakins moved the motion, which Ms. Rust seconded; Councilperson Burns voted no while the other members voted aye.
Ms. Niles, who reviewed the museum report, noted "the Centenarian Resolution going before the SLC Board of Legislators to honor Margaret Zahler, a previous Town Clerk for the Town of Hopkinton," and reminded the board of the Children's Drive-Thru Christmas event scheduled for Dec. 7, 2024. The board carried the ceiling upgrade motion with vote recorded as Supervisor Wood Aye, Burns Nay, Eakins Aye, French Aye, Rust Aye.
Board members discussed the vendor quote during the Museum agenda time. The minutes list a vendor name for the quote as "Fennsallaround"; the board recorded acceptance of that quoted amount. The motion carried, and the board authorized moving forward with the work at the Museum.
