Supervisor Susan Wood read correspondence from Legislator Perkins and introduced a draft proclamation submitted by the local DAR chapter supporting Constitution Week, Sept. 17–23, 2024. The proclamation text cites Public Law 915 and calls on citizens to “reaffirm the ideals of the Framers” and protect constitutional freedoms.
Councilperson French offered the motion adopting the proclamation and Councilperson Rust seconded; the Board recorded aye votes from Supervisor Wood and Councilpersons Burns, Eakins, French and Rust. The proclamation was signed by Supervisor Susan Wood "this 19th day of August" in the minutes.
