Peggy Burnham, representing the Lake Ozonia Campers Association, presented a check to the Town Board as a donation to the Hopkinton Food Pantry and asked the board about the Town Hall charge for the association’s recent garage sale. “Ms. Burnham presented a check from the Lake Ozonia Campers Association as a donation for the Food Pantry, from their recent garage sale,” the minutes record.
After brief discussion about the rental charge, Supervisor Susan Wood moved and Councilperson Rust seconded a motion to refund the $65 Town Hall rental fee for the garage sale; the Board approved the refund unanimously. Lake Ozonia residents also raised concerns about trenching on Lake Ozonia Road and about AirBnB rentals in the area; the Board said those issues would be reviewed further.
