At its July 6 meeting the Wahkiakum County Noxious Weed Board unanimously approved staff's recommendation to treat Welcome Slough instead of Birnie Slough. Adam Fletcher read a report from Chase recommending the change; Cindy Langston moved to adopt the recommendation and Lore Twiet seconded the motion, which passed.
Board minutes record the motion as following a written recommendation ("A.F. read Chase's report regarding treating Welcome Slough instead of Birnie Slough (copy attached)"). The board instructed staff to schedule the treatment; minutes note a planned follow-up task to schedule treatment at Welcome Slough by the end of the month.
