ZBA grants Ulrich Sign Co. a modest freestanding‑sign enlargement near Route 31

Chris McCaffrey, representing Ulrich Sign Co., told the board the proposal would replace the existing sign with a modern unit designed to conceal support beams and would include landscaping at the base for improved appearance and visibility.
McCaffrey said the sign size requested—an increase of roughly 8 square feet—was the smallest option the dealership offers. "The proposed sign would also improve visibility and better identify the entrance to the property," he said. The ZBA approved the variance subject to substantial compliance with Exhibit A; Planning Commissioner Brian Bender noted the applicant will appear before the Planning Board on July 22.
