Scott Waldemarson reported the Grant Street parking lot bid was awarded to Cavanaugh; construction is slated to start after Labor Day 2026 and a site plan is being prepared to address impacts to a large tree.
He also said $20,000 is budgeted for trail relocation to tie into the new parking lot, including relocation of a small gas line and cementing, and that the asphalt program, which starts in July 2026, will need nearly $80,000 in additional scope for patchwork on several streets, with Humphrey Road identified as the top priority.
Staff indicated council legislation will be added to the next meeting agenda to address the asphalt scope change; no formal vote occurred at the finance committee meeting.
