Hartsville board approves early payoff of highway roller, keeps pickup and tractor loan payments

The Town of Hartsville Board voted April 16, 2025 to make the standard loan payments on the Dually pickup ($21,170.00) and the tractor ($21,093.69) and to pay off the roller in full for $29,428.27 on or around May 5, 2025. Supervisor David Gerhard presented the resolution, noting that the payoff timing is intended to address the CHIPs reimbursement cutoff.
The resolution was moved by Supervisor David Gerhard and seconded by Leon Woodworth Jr. The roll call produced four yes votes (Heidi Margeson, Leon Woodworth Jr., Misti Carbone and David Gerhard) and one absence (Brinette Steffey); the resolution was declared approved. The motion text in the minutes directs the early roller payoff to occur to avoid a tight turnaround between the May 15 auto-draft loan payments and the CHIPs tentative claim cutoff of May 17, 2025.
