Commissioners recommended continuing trials—planting small groups of new cultivars in differing parkway widths—and requested semiannual updates on species diversity and new plantings. A commissioner suggested staff report monthly or every six months on what has been added to the city inventory so the commission can track whether the forest is diversifying over time.
