The Hudson Falls Board of Trustees on Nov. 12 unanimously approved a series of personnel actions covering the police department and public works.
Trustee Michael Horrigan moved and Trustee James Gallagher seconded the first motion, which the board carried to provisionally appoint Cori Winch to Police Detective effective Oct. 16, 2024. Subsequent motions approved the temporary appointment of Andrew LaFay to Police Sergeant from Nov. 1, 2024 to Feb. 15, 2025; the appointment of Emily Sanzo to Part‑Time Police Officer (effective Oct. 24, 2024) at $22 per hour; and the appointment of Logan Gillis to Part‑Time Police Officer (effective Oct. 25, 2024) at $20 per hour.
The board also approved the appointment of Shane Reynolds as Motor Equipment Operator, with a start date to be determined following required New York State DOT testing and pay set per the CSEA contract. Trustees unanimously resolved to authorize Michael Fiorillo to sign the 2024–2025 Snow Removal Agreement.
All motions were seconded and recorded as unanimously carried in the meeting minutes. The personnel actions were presented as routine approvals during the meeting's business items.
