The Hudson Falls Zoning Board of Appeals carried two formal motions at its Sept. 16, 2024 meeting.
First, the board approved the May 20, 2024 meeting minutes following a motion by Board Member Mary Alice Murphy and a second by Board Member Michael Willig. Later, after review of the Short Environmental Assessment Form, Board Member Michael Willig moved and Board Member Edward Mahan seconded a motion that "the action does not present any adverse environmental impacts" and that a negative declaration be issued; the motion passed unanimously.
Subsequently, Board Member Louis Cantiello moved and Board Member Mary Alice Murphy seconded to approve the Area Variance application for 171 Main Street "as submitted." The board voted AYES: Chairperson Robert Durkee and Board Members Murphy, Willig, Mahan and Cantiello; NOES: none; ABSENT: Tammy Mullen and Chris Connelly. The variance resolution was duly adopted.
These formal actions authorize the applicant to pursue required permits and site-plan approvals with the village's Building Department and clerk's office.
