Fairgrounds Manager Crystal Baker updated the board on fairgrounds operations: an Office Assistant position is being filled; the Maintenance position will be split between two employees who will share hours without additional insurance costs; two vacancies remain on the Fair Board; and the Fair Board will move to two meetings per month until the fair. Baker also highlighted planned community events and a new fair Facebook page.
Fair Board President Erin Hill commented on progress at the fairgrounds. Several new events remain in planning stages; no formal action or budget authorization was recorded at the July 7 meeting.
