Commissioners appoint three to Wahkiakum Marine Resources Committee

On July 14 the Wahkiakum County Board appointed three members to the Wahkiakum Marine Resources Committee (MRC). Katie Pierson was appointed to a Scientific Interest/Expert seat through December 31, 2027; Javier Sanchez was appointed to an Economic & Local Resident seat through December 31, 2027; and Mary Hogue was appointed as the Port District No. 2 alternate through December 31, 2026.
The appointments were made by motion and approved unanimously by Commissioners Tischer, Letham and Cothren. The minutes do not record discussion of applicants’ qualifications beyond the seat designations and term lengths.
