Mayor John Barton described Paul Dietrich’s long record of service to the Village and County and asked the Board to declare Sept. 21 Paul Dietrich Day. "On September 21st, the surrounding communities are going to send one apparatus from their Fire Departments and/or Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and they are going to do a drive by at the nursing home..." Mayor Barton said, and requested the proclamation be approved.
Trustee James Gallagher moved and Trustee Jeffrey Gaulin seconded a unanimous resolution declaring Sept. 21 Paul Dietrich Day in the Village of Hudson Falls. The transcript notes Mr. Dietrich is currently at Fort Hudson nursing home and will be given the opportunity to see the apparatus parade from outside the facility; the minutes record the Board’s action but do not include operational details or contact instructions for the event.
