The CCASD board approved a one-year lease with Glen Canyon Outdoor Academy at the July 10 meeting. Chief Education Officer Dave Dirksen said the lease was signed by the academy's executive director and reviewed by the district attorney; if approved the academy's move-in will begin immediately with district staff coordinating logistics.
Dirksen and Tse' Yaato' Principal Traci Parker described the arrangement as collaborative. The minutes record President Cheryl Mango-Paget's approval of the one-year lease as part of the action items listed for the meeting.
