Resident says code enforcement will force camper and trailers to be moved; trustees to review local code

Scott Ross of Meadow Road told the Board he has allowed in‑laws to camp in a driveway camper each summer for nine years and that Code Enforcement is now requiring him to move the camper and work trailers. Ross said he has been doing it for nine years.
Deputy Mayor Michael Horrigan told Ross, "it is against the Code to allow someone to sleep in a camper for a long period of time," and Attorney Bill Nikas explained the village's architectural/property code implications for placing trailers in a side yard that faces Burgoyne Avenue. The Board asked staff to review the local code and discuss a potential revision; Attorney Nikas asked for temporary approval to allow Mr. Ross to move trailers back into his driveway while the code revision is considered, and there were no objections recorded in the minutes.
