Richland Board to mail appointment and thank-you letters to board appointees

At its Jan. 15 special meeting the Town of Richland Board read aloud letters to newly appointed members of the Planning Board, an alternate for the Zoning Board, the Comprehensive Planning Board and the Board of Assessment Review. Councilwoman Donna Gilson moved to proceed with mailing the letters, and Councilwoman Sue Haynes seconded; the motion passed with all present voting "AYE."
The minutes state the letters include expressions of appreciation for outgoing members: the Board approved mailing the letters "with a Thank you for their service and interest." Town Clerk Millie Newcomb recorded the action in the meeting minutes. No names of the appointees or former members were specified in the minutes.
