Jennifer Stahl, president of the Classified School Employees Association (CSEA), told the board that double‑digit increases in health‑care costs for 2026 will significantly reduce take‑home pay for classified staff and asked the district to continue collaborative negotiations.
Stahl said the district’s new broker had found options including a zero‑cost Kaiser high‑deductible plan for employees only and that the district had posted open‑enrollment materials with options that include some zero‑cost plans for employees and families. "Our classified and certificated employees are doing the same, settling in and looking ahead," Stahl said, and described a desire to find solutions that sustain essential employees.
Superintendent Hahn and board members acknowledged the concern and said the district had been working with labor groups and would discuss options during open enrollment.
