The council approved a fourth amendment to the city's contract with Coastland Engineering to increase the not‑to‑exceed amount by $8,062,000 and extend services for an additional 12 months. Public Works Director Daniel Gonzales recommended the amendment, saying Coastland has provided design, inspection and construction management services for Piedmont capital projects since 2009.
