Borough Manager Cindy Wells reported the borough is researching the process to purchase the American Legion ball field and integrate it into the borough parks system. Wells said the borough would cover any closing costs if needed and that funding for acquisition would come from outside sources and a private donor. Solicitor Wachter prepared the agreement.
Councilor Steadman moved and Councilor Osborn seconded a motion to approve presenting the proposed agreement to the American Legion for their review; the motion carried unanimously. Council did not commit municipal funds for acquisition beyond covering closing costs if needed, and the minutes state the final agreement would be between the borough and the American Legion with outside funding sources anticipated.
