Council schedules Sept. 16 public hearing on zoning amendment; parking ordinance to be advertised

Borough Manager Cindy Wells told council the next council meeting will be Monday, Sept. 16, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. and that there will be a public hearing on an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance. "The public hearing will be advertised twice as required," Wells said, and Council will also vote on an amendment to the Parking Ordinance with the required advertising conducted beforehand.
Wells also highlighted related planning and outreach items: an Erie County Planning event (Devereaux Day) to promote park and trail improvements on French Creek and the Erie–Pittsburgh trail head on Sept. 13, and an EC Planning EMS meeting at Fort LeBoeuf on Aug. 28. The manager asked Council to attend the Devereaux Day kickoff if possible and noted additional administrative meeting dates for insurance presentations and training.
