Tijeras reports Well 1 back online; council advances Route 66 Centennial plans

Mayor J. Bruton told the council that Well 1 is back online after a pump driver failure and that contractor Prodigy replaced the driver to restore service within about 24 hours. "Well 1 is back up and running... Prodigy went ahead and replaced it got it back up and running within a little over 24 hours," Bruton said.
Councilors also discussed logistics for the Route 66 Centennial Celebration scheduled for Aug. 22, including a car show and vendor sign-ups; Councilor Y. Garcia said she will coordinate car-club participation and sign-ups. Councilor M. Armenta asked about band and signage; staff confirmed the band is Tripple X but said Route 66 signs are still pending permission from NMDOT and will not be installed before the event. Other matters included Pine View erosion and guardrail work being postponed and appreciation for maintenance and volunteer efforts to clear arroyos.
