Mayor J. Bruton described the Water Trust Board award as a $1.2 million package structured 20/80 and characterized that split as "20% loan," and the council approved Resolution 2026-33 to accept the award for sewer-system construction. "This is grant loan which is 20/80, so it’s 20% loan, but it’s $1.2 million grant loan for construction of the sewer system," the mayor said.
Clerk/Manager Caufield said reallocating water funds together with the award should make the project whole and allow the village to move into the next project phase. Councilor M. Armenta moved to approve the resolution and Councilor E. Barnes seconded; the motion passed with three yes votes and one absent.
