The Village of Tijeras council voted to adopt the FY2027 final budget at its July 20 meeting after Clerk/Manager Audrey Caufield explained updates to the village debt schedule and reserve calculations. "Debt schedule was updated and also had to adjust the reserve," Caufield said, citing high-level summaries from DFA.
Mayor J. Bruton and council members thanked staff for the work preparing the package. Councilor E. Barnes moved to approve Resolution 2026-28; Councilor Y. Garcia seconded. The motion passed with Councilors Armenta, Barnes and Garcia voting yes; Councilor Ortiz was not present. The approved budget will be posted with the village records and guides the FY2027 spending plan.
