The Covelo Fire Protection District reported at the April 1 meeting that the Round Valley Indian Health Center (RVIHC) has been approved as an alternate ambulance destination. District representatives also said additional EMTs have completed required training.
Separately, Lew Chichester gave a brief update on the Covelo fire hydrant project; the item remains a work in progress and the council noted that the County Service District (CCSD) should be able to review the draft request for proposals at their next meeting. No timeline or funding authorization was recorded at the meeting.
