Supervisor Haschak outlines budget timeline, campsite cap and county audit findings

Supervisor Haschak updated the Round Valley Area Municipal Advisory Council on several countywide matters, saying the Board of Supervisors aims to balance the county budget by June 30.
Haschak also said the county currently has about 80 low-intensity camping sites and that the Board is recommending a cap of 100 sites. He told the council a meeting on a planned fire-hydrant project is forthcoming and that, following redistricting, Round Valley will have a new congressional representative.
Haschak reported a state audit identified 19 issues the county needs to bring into compliance and said the Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Mendocino Council of Governments (MCOG) will present findings on road improvements in unincorporated areas. The remarks were presented as part of the council's regular reports from county officials.
