Residents urge human-trafficking billboard PSA, report blocked driveways and offer generator

Virginia Standish asked the Town to put a human-trafficking public-service announcement on the billboard in January 2026 and to use the billboard for topics relevant to the community; Mayor Nidy said he would check into the County contact who had previously encouraged the PSA but said that individual is no longer with the County. Bernice Raymond reported that Plantwell vehicles were constantly blocking her driveways and that "one day she was unable to enter yard from either driveway because of the trucks." Mayor Nidy asked her to send the date, time and photos with tag numbers so the Town can identify the alleged offender and follow up. Resident Ginny Jantz offered the Town a portable generator she no longer needs; the Mayor thanked her but said the Town lacks storage and plans to obtain a whole-house generator for Town Hall in the future.
Council did not take immediate action on the billboard request at the meeting, but the Mayor said he would check into prior County outreach about a trafficking PSA and report back.
