Council addresses Preserve drainage, FDOT roadside camping and endangered Atala butterflies

Vice Mayor Chateau-Flagg also displayed a photo of Atala caterpillars and butterflies found in the Town Hall garden and noted the species "is only found in South Florida, Cuba, the Bahamas and Cayman Islands and is one the most endangered Florida butterfly," emphasizing the larvae need specific host plants and conservation attention. Council noted these environmental and maintenance issues in their ongoing Preserve management discussions.
