Cloud Lake public-safety reports: missing person located; fire rescue readies for hurricane season

Council received routine public-safety updates during the May 14 meeting. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reported that a missing person had been located on Shannondale Road. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, represented by Ed Harvey for Chief Martinez, reported there were no calls in April and urged residents to be prepared for the upcoming hurricane season.
Fire Rescue also told the Council that the department’s ALS competition team placed first at a Palm Beach State College competition and that six team members will travel to Brazil to compete. The update was presented as part of the monthly activity reports and elicited no follow-up motions or actions by the Council.
