At its Sept. 22 meeting, the Litchfield Public Schools Board approved a consent agenda that bundled routine business including minutes, bills, construction pay applications, financial reports, the Q1 fundraising report, the 2nd/final reading of Policy 504 (Student Dress and Appearance), Fall 2025 CE instructors, the 2025-26 Superintendent Goals and extensive personnel actions. The motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Darrin Anderson and seconded by Stephanie Danielson and carried 6-0.
Personnel actions listed in the minutes include a number of new hires and replacements: Makel Weiford and Heston Trehus (student custodial workers) at $13.50/hour; Kaley Idso and Tristan Ramirez-Tozier as Custodian I positions at $19.65/hour plus a $1.00 night shift differential (total $20.65/hour) starting late September/early October 2025; Melanie Olson as a Special Education para at Lake Ripley at $17.26/hour; Blake Aller as a Title 1 para; Samariha Johnson as JV/assistant danceline coach at a salary of $2,181 per the master agreement; Paula Hill Tacheny as a special education bus rider at $22.99/hour; and Angela Berge as a special education para at the high school at $21.51/hour. The minutes also list resignations (including Ricky Grant effective Sept. 26 and Kathy Grant effective Oct. 31 for retirement) and a lengthy set of lane/step changes for certificated staff.
The board recorded no separate debate on the consent agenda items in the minutes; the omnibus motion passed unanimously.
