Board praises middle school as leaders report activities and student success

Principal Matt Drugg and Assistant Principal Jason Voss provided the Inver Grove Heights Middle School update during the March 9 meeting. Board members highlighted the school's positive energy, student activities and a recent theatre production, Oliver Jr., which drew strong attendance.
Superintendent Dave Bernhardson thanked the middle school for hosting the meeting and congratulated the cast and staff of the theatre production. Board Vice Chair Jacob Klingner said, "As a parent of a 6th grader, I'm excited about the positive changes," and Board Chair Carrie Lounsberry said, "The word I wrote down tonight is proud." Bernhardson also announced Spring Break will run March 30–April 3, with a Flex Learning Day for secondary students on April 6 and preschool–grade 5 students off that day.
