Eric Holmgren, president of the Placentia Founders Society, updated the council on recent activities and asked members to approve renewal of the society's Bradford House lease on the night's agenda. He said the society hosted its second annual Halloween event with about 150 attendees, ran school tours that served roughly 270 students across 13 classes, and received a grant from the Pacetia Foundation to help pay for busing for third-graders.
Holmgren asked the council to affirm the lease renewal so the society can continue giving tours. He invited council members and residents to a Bradford House program on Dec. 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. and said he had worked with city staff on the lease renewal process.
The council recorded the society's update during oral communications; the meeting agenda included a lease renewal vote later in the evening (consent calendar), and Holmgren said he hoped the council would vote in the affirmative.
