Trudy Desroche, president of the Yorba Linda Water District, told the council the district recently completed realignment of about 6,000 linear feet of sewer laterals and is coordinating with the city on the Golden Avenue waterline extension, which has been briefly delayed. She said the district plans waterline replacements on Mackenzie Drive, Lude Avenue, Roxborough Drive and Cedar Lawn Drive as part of fire-flow improvements, with construction expected to start in mid-2025 and coordinated public notices to follow.
Desroche also mentioned improvements planned at Charles Wagner Elementary School to boost fire flow and said the district will work closely with city staff on timing and resident communications. Her remarks were presented as an informational update during the public comment/presentation period and did not prompt a council vote at this meeting.
The update provides schedule and coordination signals for residents who may be affected by planned waterline work in 2025; the district asked staff to help with public notices and communications once schedules firm up.
