The board also appointed John Fontaine as the township code enforcement and zoning officer at a rate of $25 per hour, and approved the township engineer appointment in principle, naming ESSC/LSSE and referencing a new contact (Nathan Gruntrum, spelled several ways in packet). Supervisors discussed whether to appoint an individual representative from the firm or the firm itself; the board confirmed appointment of the firm and noted an updated contact would be circulated.
Members raised supervisory reporting lines for the code officer and whether the chair should be designated direct supervisor; they agreed to revisit specific language on supervisory responsibility at a later meeting and to add the item to the February agenda if changes to job descriptions or policies are needed.
