The policy package includes proposed changes to Policy 414 (Mandated Reporting of Child Neglect or Physical or Sexual Abuse), 416 (Drug, Alcohol, and Cannabis Testing), 418 (Drug‑Free Workplace/Drug‑Free School), 425 (Staff Development), 501 (School Weapons Policy), 505 (Student Attendance), 515 (Protection and Privacy of Pupil Records), 516 (Student Medication and Telehealth), 606.5 (Library Materials), 613 (Graduation Requirements), 620 (Credit for Learning), 621 (Literacy and the READ Act), 624 (Online Learning Options) and 806 (Crisis Management). Tucci Osorio said the board will receive a first formal reading at the Aug. 19 business meeting and consider proposed action on Sept. 23, 2025.
Board members were given the timeline for the review process and asked to direct questions to staff ahead of the Aug. 19 reading. No motions or votes on the policy revisions were taken at the work‑study session; the item remains scheduled for formal board consideration in August and September.
