Minnewaska board approves multiple hires, status changes and resignations

The Minnewaska Area Schools Board of Education approved a consent calendar of personnel actions on Oct. 20, 2025.
The motion to approve the consent calendar was made by T. Reichmann and seconded by Chairperson Barsness. The approved hires listed in the minutes include Kayla Anderson (Paraprofessional, Grade 5, Step 2, effective 10/07/2025); Nick Danielson (Strength Coach, effective 09/08/2025); Maria Gremmels and Sue Morton (Assistant Musical Directors, effective 09/08/2025); and Samantha Zimmerman (Long-Term Physical Education Teacher, BS Step 1, effective 12/17/2025). Personnel changes approved include Jessica Nelson moving from Grade 10 Step 12 to Grade 11 Step 12, effective 10/01/2025. Resignations recorded include Andrea Gullickson (3rd Party Biller), Natalia Kovbas (Foodservice Cook), Joann Tauber (Foodservice Cook), and Brian Walker (Junior High Football Coach, effective at the conclusion of the 2025 season).
