Assistant Superintendent Tricio St. Michoels presented a first reading of thirteen proposed policy revisions that were first reviewed at the district's Aug. 12, 2025 work-study session. The list included 414 (Mandated Reporting of Child Neglect or Physical or Sexual Abuse), 416 (Drug, Alcohol, and Cannabis Testing), 418 (Drug-Free Workplace/Drug-Free School), 425 (Staff Development), 501 (School Weapons Policy), 503 (Student Attendance), 515 (Protection & Privacy of Pupil Records), 516 (Student Medication and Telehealth), 606.5 (Library Materials), 615 (Graduation Requirements), 620 (Credit for Learning), 621 (Literacy and The READ Act), and 624 (Online Learning Options).
St. Michoels told the board there will be one more reading followed by a proposed revision vote at the Sept. 23, 2025 business meeting. The minutes identify these policy numbers explicitly; the board did not vote to adopt changes at this meeting because the item was presented as a first reading.
