The Pequot Lakes School Board on May 19 approved a resolution accepting donations to district accounts and student activity funds. Donors and designated uses listed in the minutes include Bremer Bank $250 for employee recognition; multiple Pequot Lakes School PTA gifts (amounts include $264.60, $300.00, $1,395.00, $100.00, $144.27, $500.00, $923.00, $115.00, $300.00) for breakfasts, kindergarten supplies and field trips; Ideal Community Service Organization $2,000 for Community Ed Storybook Theatre; Five Wings Arts Council grant $5,000 for the GLAPA "Willy Wonka" production; First National Bank $1,000 for a state tournament fan bus; Patriot Activities Club $402 for sweatshirts; and other donors.
Student activity fund gifts included multiple gift cards for prom prizes and multiple community contributions to the robotics team: Glen Hodgson $1,000; Pelican Lakes Conservation Club $3,000; Crosslake-Ideal Lions $3,000; Leonard & Sally Hodgson $25; Bonnie Jennings $200; and Crow Wing Power $500. The minutes show the motion to accept donations was moved by Hines and seconded by Sjoblad and carried by a 6-0 roll call vote.
The board recorded these donations in district and student-activity accounts and will retain required records for audits and program use.
