Rockford board approves FY26 budget and OKs two levy questions for November ballot

The Rockford Board of Education on June 16 unanimously approved the district's FY26 budget after a presentation by CFO Bridget Peterson. The motion to adopt the budget was made by Board member Morgan and seconded by Sjodin and passed on a unanimous vote.
Following the budget vote, the board approved placing two levy questions on the November 2025 general election ballot on administration's recommendation. Chair Gordee moved to place the questions and Sjodin seconded; the motion passed unanimously. Board members and district staff said the levy questions would enable the district to secure local revenue to support capital and operational needs in the coming school year.
