Wayzata recognizes athletic trainer Chris Thein and student artists; staff and retirees also honored

The board also recognized Wayzata High School students who received Gold Medal honors in the Scholastic Art Awards and named Gleason Lake employees Korey Riley and Annie Stokes as May Employees of the Month for their roles supporting special education and behavior support. Retiree recognitions included Ron Tudahl (26 years, custodian), Gwyn Rasmussen (20 years, teacher) and Penny Blankenship (16 years, Community Ed staff).
These recognitions were presented as informational items on the agenda; the superintendent highlighted staff service, student achievements and next steps such as the scheduled external recognition of Thein on the honors show.
