On June 16, 2025 the Robbinsdale Area Schools Board approved the District 281 Long Term Facilities Maintenance (LTFM) Plan. Director Aviva Hillenbrand moved approval and Director ReNae Bowman seconded; the motion prevailed with five votes in favor and two opposed.
Recorded votes list Directors Helen Bassett, ReNae Bowman, Dr. Greta Evans-Becker, Aviva Hillenbrand and Dr. Kenneth Wutoh as voting for the plan. Directors Kim Holmes and Caroline Long opposed. The LTFM plan was presented as part of the district’s regular operations items and is intended to guide maintenance priorities and capital projects across school buildings.
The vote arrives alongside other financial actions the board took that evening, including adoption of the FY26 budget and routine financial resolutions. The district’s facilities and operations leadership reported ongoing safety and facilities projects during the meeting; staff materials and the approved LTFM plan are available in the district meeting packet.
