The implementation matrix in the packet breaks actions into operations and maintenance, capital projects (including an aquatic-center expansion, public restrooms at Knight Street and Lindstrom Park, Heritage Square and Riverwalk lighting), program and planning initiatives, and possible funding sources to be explored.
Staff said the plan will go to a city-council work session on May 27 and that the council is expected to consider adoption in June. "We've got it in our agenda... next step will be going to city council on the 27th for work session," the staff member said. The presentation emphasized that some funding sources are illustrative examples only — not a commitment to bonds or levies — and that the department will follow up on questions raised by board members via email or future meetings.
