Dan Lewis recommended the board approve a professional services agreement with Kennedy Jenks Consultants to provide operational support for the West Lake Tahoe regional water treatment plant, with compensation on a time-and-materials basis not to exceed $364,598. He said Kennedy Jenks will provide on-site and remote support, prepare standard operating procedures, offer operator training, develop an asset inventory for regulated equipment and assist with state regulatory reporting and a 12-month warranty inspection.
"Staff recommends the selection of Kennedy Jenks for these services due to their familiarity with the project, expertise in the field, and their strong working relationship with the district," Dan Lewis said. He noted $30,000 is available in the 2025 budget and the remainder is proposed to be funded through the 2026 operating budget. The item was presented as proposed consent; no formal vote is recorded in the transcript.
