Superintendent Darin Drill told the Cascade School District #5 Board on Oct. 13 that district enrollment has increased by "60-65 students" this school year, with a notable number of move-ins and continued transfer requests. He said a committee working on a bond proposal is meeting and plans to present recommendations to the Board after the start of 2026, with the goal of placing a bond on the May 2026 ballot.
Drill said the district will continue public engagement and planning work before formalizing the bond proposal. Communications staff are preparing polling and messaging to identify the projects most likely to win voter support, given community concerns about the economy and priorities for critical repairs.
