The ISD 199 Board of Education voted unanimously to accept six MSBA‑recommended applicants as semi-finalists in the district’s superintendent search. Member Niemioja moved to approve semi-finalist candidates A, B, D, K, L and R; Member Klingner seconded the motion. The motion carried 7-0 at 6:35 p.m.
The action took place during a special work session held Monday, March 23, 2026, at the district office boardroom, which the minutes list as beginning at 5:30 p.m. Barb Dorn, MSBA director of leadership development and executive search, facilitated the session and presented the association’s recommendations. The minutes list all seven board members — Lounsberry, Larsen, Pierson, Dukes, Klingner, Warrick and Niemioja — as present.
