State Board of Elections accepts staff petition findings in unanimous vote

Chair Peter Kaczynski opened the April 13 meeting of the New York State Board of Elections and said the session had a single purpose: to review petitions. "And today's meeting is for really 1 purpose only, and that's to review petitions," he said.
A staff member told commissioners that the prima facie review calendar and the staff's findings — including hearings held that morning and two specifications of objections for state senate and assembly petitions — were attached to the meeting packet and posted on the Board's website. The staff moved to accept the report as presented.
The motion to accept the staff report was seconded and commissioners voted in favor. Chair Kaczynski stated the motion was "adopted unanimously." With no further business, a motion to adjourn was made, seconded and approved, and the meeting was closed.
The board record includes the staff's prima facie calendars and the written findings posted to the Board website; the meeting contained no public comment and no additional agenda items were discussed.
