Board of Elections completes bipartisan ballot-position drawing for June 23, 2026 primary

Deputy Director Jude Seymour opened a public ballot-position drawing on behalf of the Board of Elections and said the bipartisan team was conducting the process for the June 23, 2026 state primary. Seymour introduced Director Amy Connolly and described the drawing procedure used to assign randomized ballot positions across dozens of contests.
The drawing progressed race by race. For each office Seymour read candidate names, the Clerk or staff member announced the randomly drawn number, and Seymour read the resulting ballot order aloud. Seymour apologized at times for pronunciation and clarified resulting positions. The drawing concluded when Seymour stated, "This concludes our ballot drawing for ballot position for the June 23rd, 2026 state primary."
