Superintendent warns of roughly $107,000 state aid drop; district eyes capital spending

Billeter also told the board the district is advertising for open certified positions, that Cambridge Public Schools will not renew the girls' wrestling cooperative agreement, and that the district is weighing options to replace a 2010 Grasshopper mower. He said the main gym wood floor cannot be sanded and refinished again and will likely require replacement within the next two to three years, which adds a capital project to the district's planning horizon.
Board members did not vote on specific budget allocations at the Feb. 16 meeting; the superintendent's report was provided for planning and discussion.
