In guidance aimed at families preparing for the start of the school year, Superintendent Mike Connolly emphasized that routines help students arrive ready to learn. He specifically recommended restoring earlier bedtimes and consistent routines in the two to three weeks before the first day of school.
Connolly also asked parents to ‘‘get to know your teachers, get to know your school administrators’’ and to reach out proactively with questions or concerns so the district can support student success. He emphasized the district’s interest in partnership between families and schools.
