The North Clackamas School District 12 Board of Directors voted 6-0 on May 27, 2025 to approve awarding a Wireless Communication System contract to Vocera Communications for a sum not to exceed $1,840,000. The motion to award the contract was moved by Director Tory McVay and seconded by Director Mitzi Bauer.
Chief of Operations Teresa Neff-Webster and Director of Safety, Security & Risk Management David Kruse presented the Vocera Wireless Communication System to the board and answered members’ questions about the procurement and system specifications. The record shows board discussion and questions were addressed before the vote. The recorded vote lists Directors Bauer, Benologa, Dobson, Kemp, McVay and Chair Kathy Wai as voting yes, and the motion passed 6-0.
The board’s meeting minutes note the matter as agenda item R24/25-78. The board convened an executive session earlier that evening under ORS 192.660(2)(f) before returning to open session to consider the Vocera item. With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:24 p.m.; the minutes of the May 27 meeting were later approved on June 5, 2025.
