The Merced River School District Board voted unanimously at its April 13, 2026 meeting to adopt the 2026-27 school calendar and to proclaim May 16, 2026 as Merced River School District Day of Our Teachers and Classified Employees.
Board President John Sexauer called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m. in the District Office at Washington School. Holly Tucker moved to approve the meeting agenda; Roxanne Rosales seconded the motion and it carried unanimously. Later in the meeting the board approved the consent calendar, including the April minutes, April expense registers and the financial summary for March 2026, following a motion from Ayerim Aguilar and a second by John Sexauer.
On separate action items the board adopted Resolution No. 4-2026 after a motion from Stephanie Sexauer that Roxanne Rosales seconded. The board also approved the 2026-27 school calendar on a motion from Holly Tucker, seconded by Stephanie Sexauer. All recorded actions were unanimous.
The board announced key dates for the district budget and Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP): a public review period beginning June 1, 2026 and board adoption scheduled for June 15, 2026, with a public hearing notice tied to the June 8 agenda. The meeting adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
